Brownie Balls with Coconut Flakes

I do believe that many bloggers will be very busy baking some tidbits for this coming Chinese New Year. I've just got time to rest these few days since baked pineapple tarts for clients. Thought of update my blog with this super easy but delicious dessert. It's "Brownie Balls with Coconut Flakes".

I got this idea last weekend when I was baking brownie. My ideal was why not do something new with using brownie so I thought of Choc Balls. Mostly choc balls, they require chocolate cake and you have to mix with melted butter to make the moisted cake which you can easily roll into the ball, also coated with melted chocolate then you will get choc balls but for my method I used brownie to be cake base. I baked brownie not to be so dry or liked fudgy brownie. After the brownie was done, I took brownie from the cake tin and mixed like crumbs in the mixing bowl and let it cool down for a while then started rolling into small balls till finished up all brownie. The last method I used coconut flakes for coating these brownie balls, is it very easy?

For some special ideal, if you like eating nuts you can either mix some rosted nuts in brownie before rolling or add some nuts into your brownie before baking. Mine one I baked brownie with chopped roated almonds and they were perfect when chewing this brownie ball.

  1. Those brownie balls look chocolatey and rich, almost like delicious chocolate truffles and that coconut adds a pretty touch. I have a new linky on my blog called "Sweets for a Saturday" and I'd like to invite you to stop by and link this up. http://sweet-as-sugar-cookies.blogspot.com/2011/01/sweets-for-saturday-1_21.html
